Physician-led Weight Management and Corporate Wellness
Develop a Growth Mindset for Overall Wellness
August is when we start to transition to a back-to-school and back-to-life structure. So, training our brains to adopt a Growth Mindset is a healthy way to start a new season. What is a growth mindset, and how do we achieve one? Keep reading this newsletter to learn more.
I am also excited to extend the introductory pricing for my NEW! Group Weight Loss Program that kicks off on September 13. And I continue to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Lifestyle Changes by Dr. Darby with 30% OFF my specially designed Six Month Wellness Journal, dietary supplements, and other proprietary merchandise that help to achieve physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness.
To start creating a healthy mindset, meal planning, and movement routine — which I call my 3 M’s — I am also recommending my favorite supplements for energy and relaxation. And I am sharing some behind-the-scenes moments from our Mind, Body, and Soul event and a sneak peek at a special honor I am grateful to receive and announce in September!

How to Get Moving
What is a Growth Mindset?
A growth mindset describes people who feel their skills and intelligence can be improved with effort and persistence. They embrace challenges, persist through obstacles, learn from criticism, and seek out inspiration in others’ success.
Here are tips to achieve this mindset:
Set realistic goals. Understand where you are now to determine what you want to develop and recognize that some things are beyond what you can achieve.
Look for role models. Reach out to family, friends, and colleagues who have developed a growth mindset to gain insight. Be curious and connect with others to learn their actions to overcome obstacles.
View failure as a gift. Accept that all challenges are growth opportunities and make time each day to review where things didn’t go well and what you learned from that experience.
Be mindful of your words and actions. Speak and act kindly to yourself and others. Change your thoughts and behaviors from “I’m not good at this” to “I’m not great at this yet.”
